  • Preface

Statistics is one of the necessary and important Sciences for any scientific information from scientific research, scientific experiment or theory aimed at reaching results based on objectivity and credibility, and its importance lies in various fields as it is a means used by most people in their daily lives, especially decision-makers in institutions and departments, because any economic or administrative decision must be based on accurate and realistic data and information in order to reach scientific and objective results about the phenomenon or problem to be studied.

Descriptive statistics stands out as the first entrance to statistics in general and is taught to first-year students due to its reliance on preliminary entries related to the method of describing economic, social, natural and other phenomena by descriptive numerical methods in the form of numbers, graphs, tables and descriptive statistical indicators

  • The objectives

This scale aims to facilitate students ' understanding of the basics of descriptive statistics by putting these lessons in their hands in order to alleviate the difficulties they face and better understand this scale .

These lessons are a series of lectures through which we offer a set of simplified and abbreviated lectures to students

Therefore, we divided the content of these lessons into several main chapters that include both the basic concepts of Statistics and how to display, summarize and present data in iterative tables or graphical representations, while we devoted the last chapter to measures of centrality and measures of dispersion

  • Advance acquisitions

In order for the student to be able to follow the descriptive statistics lessons, he must prove the calculation using a calculator and know the basics of addition, subtraction and novelty .
