 L1 students read and analyse a short story by an American writer Kate Chopin.

The lesson is divided into three parts: the first part is the pre-reading tasks in which students read about the writer background and predict the events of the story from a cartoon strip.

The while reading tasks: students analyse the elements of fiction in the story:setting, characters, plot, conflict and themes.

The post reading tasks: students evaluate the story by giving their personal opinion and perform some tasks.
