This "Word Civilization" module builds on first-year Masters students' previous experience with research methodology, in order to introduce scholars' key ideas and available primary source materials pertaining to twentieth-century history and literature. The course's main thematic is "conflict between Leninism and Wilsonianism." Students are successful in this course if they submit original research to a graduate-student journal for peer review.
