Dealing with a vast area of postcolonial
issues ,African
Literature is included in this part of the programme as a subject of Postcolonial Studies. The objective of the
course is to provide the students with a deeper knowledge of an African literature
that addresses the
problems and consequences of both colonization and decolonization. The themes of identity, race, class, gender will be analyzed through the study of some selected texts (novel and short stories).
